Activo-Med Combi Pro Rug – Pulsed Electromagnetic and Massage

The Activo-Med Combi Pro Rug combines pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMF) and massage, providing enhanced performance and recovery to the whole body.

The rug contains 19 strategically placed PEMF spools and 14deep massage modules and covers the horse from tail to poll, plus the shoulders and thigh areas. You simply select your preferred pre-set programme on the easy-to-use control box and leave the horse to enjoy his session. The control box is powered by the rechargeable battery, which will give you approximately 15 treatments per charge and a charge level reading when turned on.The important PEMF element of all the Activo-Med systems uses specific therapeutic frequencies to help to restore and stimulate cell repair in the body. This is ideal for rehabilitation, but also for helping to maintain general well being and performance. The massage element supports blood and lymph circulation as well as general relaxation. Together, these two therapies complement each other in supporting the horse. Many riders, owners, trainers and physiotherapists use it everyday to help support performance and recovery. Insert list of riders on the current Combi Pro page from each discipline. Also could put shortened quotes for some of the well known ones on this page.

Activo-Med Combi Sport Rug – Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy and Massage Rug

The Activo-Med Combi Sport combines pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) and massage therapy, and applies this across the horse’s withers and back. The rug has a traditional rug shape and offers PEMF (from eight strategically placed spools) and cyclonic massage (from eight massage modules).

The PEMF element uses magnetic pulses in a range of different frequencies and intensities to encourage the body’s cells to work more efficiently together, whether this is to improve performance or for rehabilitation. The massage element supports blood and lymph circulation as well as general relaxation. The rug can be used before or after exercise and for rehabilitation too- all the horse’s owner needs to do is select the most relevant programme from the pre-programmed control box, which fits neatly onto the rug.

There are also spare programmes that allow the owner to create their own. As with the Combi-Pro, the rug is powered by batteries and can be left on the horse as the owner carries on doing other yard jobs. Massage or PEMF only rugs are also available.

Activo-Med Wave-Light-Pulse Therapy Combine Pulsed Electromagnetic Therapy and Light Cluster Pen

Wave-Light-Pulse (W-L-P) therapy provides direct, local therapy using a combination of light, pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMF) and massage. It can be used on muscle, tendon and ligament injuries as well as cuts, bruises, wounds, oedemas and arthritis. The PEMF element uses a built in spool to provide therapy according to the frequency and intensity of the programme selected on the control box.

The light cluster uses a combination of 24 infrared and 24 red diodes which is, again, fully adjustable by intensity and frequency, and uses the latest supralight LED technology. The product runs off the same control box as Activo-Med’s rugs, legs wraps and power pads. This innovative system is available in a range of different configurations to suit all situations. As used by William Fox-Pitt, Carl Hester and Paul Nicholls.

Activo-Med Power Pad – Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy, Massage and/or Laser Therapy Pad

This easy to use product can be used on the horse’s neck, withers, shoulders, saddle area, lumber region and rump, and is available with one, two or three therapies to give ultimate flexibility. The pad can be purchased with PEMF, cyclonic massage and/or laser components that can run simultaneously or individually, depending on what the owner selects on the pre-programmed control box.

Like the Activo-Med Combi Pro and Combi Sport, the pad can be used before or after riding on targeted areas, and can also be used for rehabilitation.

Activo-Med Power Girth – Pulsed Electromagnetic and Massage

The Activo-Med Power Girth fits around the girth and pectoral muscle areas where it applies pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMF) and massage as selected by the horse’s owner. The therapy system has a control box with preset programmes that allows thePower Girth to be used before and after exercise as well as for rehabilitation. All settings can be changed to suit the horse’s needs.

Activo-Med Leg Wraps

Activo-Med Leg Wraps combine pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMF) and massage, although the system can be purchased with just one type of therapy if required. The wraps work with the Activo-Med control box and can be used pre and post exercise or for rehabilitation, depending on the programme selected. The box attaches to the surcingle provided or to an Activo-Med rug, so there’s no need to worry about cables getting on the way or where to put the control box. Activo-Med Leg Wraps can be used for tendon and ligament strains as well as kicks, bumps, bruises, stiffness, arthritis, well being and for recovery post exercise.

Activo-Med Hoof Boot – Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy and Massage

The Hoof Boot covers from the floor to over the fetlock joint to deliver maximum therapy to the hoof and pastern areas. It can be used for bruises, cracks, abscesses, concussion, degenerative diseases, arthritic changes, laminitis, inflammation, swelling, ligament damage, tendon damage and fractures; really at any time where an increase in circulation and the body’s cells working more efficiently together could be of benefit.

The Activo-Med Hoof Boot contains two PEMF spools and two massage units, housed within a Goretex boot with strong rubber sole. It is fastened with hook and loop fastenings. The boot is then attached to the Activo-Med control box –all the horse’s owner needs to do is select the preset programme they’d like to use and it’s as simple as that. There is also space for the horse’s owner to make their own programmes based on the horse’s needs.
